Il progetto METEORA nasce da una scelta ben precisa di alcuni musicisti di Roma e comuni limitrofi, legati, oltre che da una profonda amicizia, dal comune interesse nei confronti di uno dei gruppi musicali ritenuti più interessanti del momento: Linkin Park.

Il punto di partenza è una band, "TOYS: RELOADED", che propone covers di Linkin Park, Rammstein, Rage Against The Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, P.O.D.

I Toys:Reloaded si esibiscono nella seconda metà del 2007 in un locale della provincia (Applauso a Ponte Lucano-Tivoli), alla Festa di Liberazione di Genazzano(RM) e alla Festa della Musica'07 a Lanuvio(RM), ma ben presto abbracciano il concetto di "tribute-band" monotematica, mossi dai continui stimoli offerti dal riprodurre il sound dei Linkin Park.

Quasi tutti i componenti del gruppo hanno condiviso nel tempo esperienze musicali riconducibili alla new-wave degli anni ’80-’90, con particolare riferimento al Noise-Industrial, al Grunge e al Post-Punk. 

METEORA propone brani del repertorio Linkin Park nel pieno rispetto dei moduli e delle sonorità originali secondo una ideale linea di continuità con le esperienze artistiche maturate dai componenti del gruppo. 

Infatti in METEORA si fondono la meticolosa ricerca del “sample” e la naturale attitudine alla manipolazione di basi e loop, elementi caratteristici del sound CABAL (*), assieme alla dirompente immediatezza post-punk espressa da CAPTAIN TRIPS (**); l'ottimo rap di Shred ed i potenti riff di Anthony contribuiscono al successo della miscela finale.

OUR HISTORY...

METEORA project starts with a precise choice of some musicians from Rome (Italy) and neighbourhood, involved, other than in a strong friendship, in a common interest about one of the most attractive bands nowadays: Linkin Park.

Start-up point is a band, "TOYS: RELOADED", that plays covers of Linkin Park, Rammstein, Rage Against The Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, P.O.D.

Toys:Reloaded play in the second half of 2007 in a theatre nearby Rome (Applauso at Ponte Lucano-Tivoli), at Festa di Liberazione (Genazzano-Rome) and at Festa della Musica'07 (Lanuvio-Rome), but very early they subscribe the monothematic "tribute-band" concept moved by the continuous stimulus given by Linkin Park's sound reproduction.

Almost all the band members shared musical experiences like '80-'90 new-wave, Noise-Industrial, Grunge and Post-Punk. 

METEORA proposes Linkin Park songs trying to reproduce them the most precisely as possible, keeping an ideal continuity with artistic experiences matured by the band members.

In fact, in METEORA, the meticulous research of “samples” and the natural attitude to bases and loops manipulation, chacracteristics elements of CABAL sound(*), join together with post-punk explosive immediacy expressed by CAPTAIN TRIPS (**); the great Shred's rap and the powerful riffs of Anthony contributes to final mix success.
